Growing Up Hip Hop New York Premiers August 29 on We TV
I had the pleasure of attending the new installment of Growing Up Hip Hop New York at the Paley Center for Media, hosted by Angie Martinez. The show highlights the lives of the children whose parents were at the fore front of Hip-Hop. I liked the show because simply put, it was entertaining. The punch lines and the facial expressions from the cast were hilarious. The audience could not stop laughing.
In addition, the topics that were discussed were diverse, they discussed college, father absenteeism, young Black men and prison, co-parenting and how to make it in the industry topics. The Fyre festival was even discussed!
The cast will include rapper Ja Rule and his children, Jeff Bruce Atkins Jr. and Brittney Atkins; Murder Inc. mogul Irv Gotti and his children, Angie Pearson and Jonathan “JJ” Wilson Lorenzo; rapper Fat Joe and his son Ryan Cartagena; rapper Charli Baltimore and her daughter DJ Siaani; rapper Young Dirty Bastard, son of the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard; Da’Zyna, daughter of Public Enemy star Flavor Flav; and DJ/producer Kid Capri with his daughter Vina Love.
Make sure you watch, August 29th at 9/8c on WeTV.
