“Hip Hop the Songs That Shook America” is a masterpiece. The first episode you will see is about Kanye West’s “Jesus Walks”. Which is also the episode that premiered at the Apollo Theater. This one-night only event included a private performance by legendary band, The Roots, DMC of Run DMC and featured special guests including the ARC Choir, whose song “Walk with Me” was sampled for “Jesus Walks.”

Guest were able to view an up close and personal understanding of not only what made “Jesus Walks great, but what made Kanye West great as a producer and a rapper.

What was very special about this episode was, viewer were able to get views and perspectives of the elements that made “Jesus Walks” such a great song and they are now able to truly understand Kanye West and the why’s behind how this song came to be.
