Written by the late Warren Manzi and produced by Armand Michael Hyatt, Perfect Crime holds the unique distinction of being the only show to have run continuously in New York City through the 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, and into the 2020s. The production has adapted to the evolving tastes and challenges of its time, becoming a staple in the theater scene.
Perfect Crime features Catherine Russell, who has performed in the show since its debut and has set a Guinness World Record — for only missing 4 performances (for her siblings’ weddings) in over 37 years. Her run has been detailed by major media outlets, earning her the title of “The Cal Ripken of Broadway” from People magazine. The cast also features David Butler, Mark Epperson, and Patrick Robustelli, with direction by Jeffrey Hyatt.
Perfect Crime is the perfect show for fans of Law & Order, CSI, Sherlock, Gone Girl, Only Murders in the Building, and Hitchcock films. It’s a sexy, funny, and fast-paced thriller that makes for a great night of whodunit. It takes place in the home of a wealthy psychiatrist, Margaret Brent, who is accused of murdering her husband. The handsome detective thinks he has it all figured out, but her husband’s murder is only the beginning in what may just be the perfect crime.
