Naika: My Body My Choice

Naika recently released the song and music video “My Body, My Choice” in response to the recent overturn of Roe v Wade. With over 40 million+ streams across Spotify and Apple Music, the Miami-born singer-songwriter has carved out a new lane in the pop genre.

Naika is a true “child of the world,” unapologetically embracing her femineity in her style and sound, and absorbing inspiration from her French and Haitian heritage, as well as her family’s wide-ranging travels around the globe, from Guadeloupe to Kenya, South Africa to Vanuatu and beyond, the influence of African, European, and Caribbean cultures has shaped her both as an artist and as a citizen of the world. She lived all over the world growing up, both international and domestically as a result of her father’s career, but leaned into these experiences to shape her music.
