MACRO’s Really Love Film Now Streaming On Netflix Exclusive Interview

I had the pleasure of interviewing Aaliyah Williams, the Peabody award nominated producer, owner of Just A Rebel production company and Khari Mateen composer and poducer who has worked with artist such as the Roots and Jill Scott. The interview was great as it was enlightening and fun, as both Aaliyah and Khari were very easy to speak with and were willing to share many gems about their experience with producing and scoring films.

Aaliyah has released a film on Netflix, “Really Love.” The film debuted in the top 10 films on Netflix and stars Kofi Siriboe, Yootha Wong-Loi-Sing, Uzo Aduba, Mack Wilds, Naturi Naughton, Suzzanne Douglas, Jade Eshete with Blair Underwood and Michael Ealy.

Aaliyah had pertinent information to give about the beauty and struggles of finding and holding on to love. This beautiful all Black casted film exudes a delightfulness that is rarely seen in the portrayal of Black people. Thus, not only is the film wonderfully created, but the music for the film is scored with a soft ambiance that is melodic and soothing. Composer Khari Mateen created the soundtrack that has received rave reviews on social media from viewers.
