On Being 40

My grandmother once said that you really haven’t learned much about life until you reach the age of 40. I was about 18, 19, 20 years old when I heard her say this. At the time turning 40 was a thought that had yet to be conceived in my mind. A thought that was at least 20 years away. But now all the famous 1980’s babies are here at this crossroad, and some of us don’t know what to do with ourselves.
