The 2023 Urban World Film Festival brought great vibes. The international festival kicked off in New York, New York with content from the best of the best in documentaries, shorts and feature films.

There were a plethora of genres the audience was able to chose from as they supported up and coming and established filmmakers. The vibes were definitely in the building as directors, actors and producers all supported one another.

Many fans of Tyler Perry couldn’t wait to support Maxine’s Baby: The Tyler Perry Story. A triumphant story of his rise, and tribute to his mothers’ love.

The annual film festival kicked off on November 1, 2023 and will end on November 5, 2023. Urban World not only features films but provides panel discussions as their commitment to education and support for the filmmaking community.

Native Detroiter, Director Qasim Basir stepped out on the Urban World Red Carpet to promote his film “ To Live And Die And Live”.

Urban World Film Festival celebrates 27 years of stories that encompass creativity, diversity and inclusivity.
