Toyota salutes Negro League Baseball with 2020 Highlander Commercial.
Toyota pays tribute to 100 years of Negro Leagues Baseball with a creative commercial for the all new 2020 Toyota Highlander.
The legend himself James “Jim” Robinson, former captain of the Kansas City Monarchs, is in the commercial and was present at the “Go Highlander Home Team Media Brunch”, that took place at the Apollo Theater in New York City on February 19, 2020.
The panel discussion that took place amongst NLB, Jim Robinson, Toyota Executive Program Manager Craig Payne and Corey D. Seaton VP-Creative Director for Burrell Communications was informative and insightful as the panelists spoke about what it meant for Toyota to embark upon such a historical and influential campaign in the African American community.
As this campaign displays that Toyota respects the community, and shares in its heritage.
Black History Month means a lot in the African American community, therefore this campaign could not have been launched at a better time.
In addition, Toyota presented Harlem Little League with a $25,000 donation!
“Home Team” will begin airing on March 30, 2020.
