Bumblebees is a story about yearning for and doing anything for family, or those you make your family. What would you do to prove yourself to the club?

“Billie comes to in the backseat of a 1957 Chevy Bel-Air. Cyd, the head Bumblebee, turns around from the driver’s seat. “Tell Cyd you’re ready,” she says as she pulls Billie into her initiation of becoming part of the Bumblebee family.

Even though Billie may not agree with the initiation, she still needs to survive it. This is her chance.

The Bumblebees watch as a man, bound and gagged, is drug out of the car’s trunk and tossed on the ground at their feet. This is the prey. Cyd arms Billie with her favorite nail-decorated bat before starting the chase. The vibe is evident, they have all seen many a good woman attempt and fail.

Hopefully, Billie’s story is different.”
